Grace and Faith

Read the Bible in a year by reading Ephesians 2 today.
Some say we are saved by grace alone and by faith alone. How can that be? If we are saved by God’s grace alone, that excludes our faith. If we are saved by our faith alone, that excludes God’s grace. Ephesians 2:8 reveals the proper balance, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8). Salvation by grace alone would save every person; yet, we know from the Scriptures that not every person is
saved. That is why we preach the Gospel. We need to tell people about the grace of God revealed through the Good News of the death of His Son. They need to hear it so that they might respond to it. They respond with faith, believing and trusting in God that He can and will save them. Therefore, grace comes to us through faith. Grace does not save until I have faith. Faith does not save until God gives grace.
Have you been saved? Do you believe with all your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God? You do! Magnificent. You are now ready to be baptized in water for the remission of your sins.
