Your Preacher Has Many Experiences

Read the Bible in a year by reading Second Corinthians 11:16-33 today.
The Corinthian church did not accept Paul fully as a preacher of the Gospel. Therefore, he spent time in the second letter defending his ministry. The church at Corinth did not know all of Paul’s experiences. Therefore, he started to tell them, “Are they ministers of Christ?–I speak as a fool–I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often” (2 Corinthians 11:23). He listed more things. He did not draw attention to himself, but he wanted them to know what he endured for the sake of the Gospel.
Therefore, they could not think he preached for self-glory, because his preaching brought great suffering. What they saw him experience at Corinth was just part of the happenings of his ministry.
Your preacher is the same way. If your congregation is not his first work, he has encountered so many things over the years. Do not discount his work and magnify another preacher.
