Who Is Restricting You?

Read the Bible in a year by reading Second Corinthians 6 today.
In many places, Christians do not live the full lives God intended for them. Why is that? Why do they not live by faith? God promises to do magnificent things for them, but they do not believe it. Why is that? Who is holding them back? I think the answer is found in something Paul said to the Corinthians, “You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections” (2Corinthians 6:12). Paul did not restrict the Corinthians and his writings do not restrict us, if anything, he encourages us on to greater things. Believe in God and all things are possible. A good example are the spies Moses sent into the land of Canaan. When they entered the land, they encountered what seemed to be insurmountable odds. Ten of the spies were convinced that God could not help them overcome the obstacles. Only two had the faith to know that God could help them conquer anything and anyone. The problem was the thinking of the Israelites. The problem was the thinking of the Corinthians. And the problem might be your own thinking, restricting you from a richer and fuller life.
Who is restricting you? It just might be you.
