Where Do We Go For Help?

Read the Bible in a year by reading Second Kings 1-3 today.
The king of Israel was injured badly. He sent a messenger to inquire of the god of Ekron whether the injury was fatal or not. Then God sent an angel to Elijah with this message, “But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, ‘Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them, “Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?”‘” (2Kings 1:3). Good question! Why did the king of Israel not go to the God of Israel? Why choose the god of Ekron?
