He Who Comes From Above

Read the Bible in a year by reading John 3:22-36 today.
John the Baptizer magnified Jesus, saying, “He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all” (John 3:31). Is that not a magnificent statement about Jesus? People were looking to John, wondering if he was the coming One, but he quickly denied it, saying that the One who comes from above is truly above all, even above John, whereas the one from below is only from the earth and is not greater than all. He who is from heaven is above all people.
John did everything he could to point people away from him and to the Son of God. When I speak with others, do I talk about me or someone greater?
