Their Hands and Feet

Read the Bible in a year by reading Second Samuel 4-6 today.
Two captains of Ishbosheth, son of Saul, murdered him while he was sleeping. They then cut off his head, ran, and brought it to David, thinking he would be glad that the son of his enemy was now dead. However, David was not glad. “So David commanded his young men, and they executed them, cut off their hands and feet, and hanged them by the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ishbosheth and buried it in the tomb of Abner in Hebron” (2Samuel 4:12). With their hands, they had killed an innocent man while he was sleeping, and with their feet they ran swiftly to bring what they thought was good news.
Therefore, David had their hands and feet cut off and hung publicly, that their private deed might be exposed publicly.
What are you doing with your hands and feet today?
