Hold Someone Accountable

Read the Bible in a year by reading Joshua 21 and 22 today.
Levites approached Eleazar, Joshua, and heads of the tribes of Israel, saying, “The LORD commanded through Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with their common-lands for our livestock” (Joshua 21:2). They were right; therefore, Joshua and Israel gave them what the Lord commanded. There is no evidence that they had a demanding attitude, or that they were expecting the leaders to do what God commanded, but that the Levites would not keep His commandments.
That is the way to approach people who may need to do something for you in the church. You do not have to be demanding, impatient, or ugly, but with humility and kindness remind them of what the Scriptures command and ask them to do it that you might be blessed. For example, you might need someone’s prayers. Give him a Scripture on prayer, present your request, and he will do it.
