Great in the Sight of the Lord

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Luke 1:1-25 today.
Gabriel told Zacharias these things about his son John, “For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother?s womb” (Luke 1:15). Oh, to be great in the sight of the Lord. That ought to be our goal! If we are great in the sight of the Lord, we shall be great in the sight of our families, the church, and all the people we know, although that may not be our goal. The point is, just be great in God’s sight, and He will take care of your life from there.
