Sin Hardens the Heart Beyond Imagination

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Mark 14:1-25 today.
Many people think to themselves that if they had seen the things that people in the Bible had seen, they would not sin. However, the people in the Bible did see those things, but they still sinned. Look at Judas. He saw the Lord perform miracles, including reading people’s minds and knowing what was going on in another place, although He was not at that other place. Nevertheless, Judas met with the leaders of Israel to plot the betrayal of Jesus. Then on the night when Judas actually carried out his deed, he was with Jesus and the other apostles and this is what happened, “Now as they sat and ate, Jesus said, ‘Assuredly, I
say to you, one of you who eats with Me will betray Me'” (Mark 14:18).
Judas! Don’t you get it? He knows exactly what you have planned and what you are going to do!
Was Judas shocked to hear Jesus prophesy of what Judas was going to do? If he was, it did not change him. That is the power of sin to harden the heart. A man could be right in the presence of the Son of God and the Son of God could even point out to a group what that man is going to do, but there is no change, because sin hardens the heart beyond imagination.
Do not let sin find a happy home in your heart and in your life.
