Someday It Will Be Gone

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Mark 13:1-13 today.
The apostles were impressed with the temple in Jerusalem and they wanted the Lord to be impressed. He knocked down their high view of the temple when He said, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down” (Mark 13:2). If that was true, and it was, because 40 years later, He sent the Romans against the temple and they destroyed it, then what about anything else on this planet? If Israel built the temple to worship God, what about the mountains where we go to worship God?
Shall the mountains last forever? No, but they shall be like the old temple. If the mountains shall vanish, what shall happen to the earth? Someday, it shall go away like the smoke from a dead fire. The earth shall be burned up and shall be no more.
Where then will you end up? You will not have the earth to live on anymore, but God wants you to join Him in heaven. Are you ready to do that?
