Israel Learned From the Bad Spy Experience

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Numbers 21 and 22 today.
You have heard about the 12 spies that Moses sent into the Land of Canaan and that ten brought back a discouraging report, and for believing them, Israel was confined to wander in the wilderness for 40 years. Did they learn from that experience? Did they ever use spies again during the days of Moses? If so, did they learn to believe in the Lord that He would give them the territory that they had spied out? Listen to this passage for the answers, “Then Moses sent to spy out Jazer; and they took its villages and drove out the Amorites who were there” (Numbers 21:32). It sounds like they learned their lesson. They used spies again and this time, they accepted a good report and conquered what they needed to conquer.
Believe in the Lord at all times, but if you doubt, examine why you doubted and learn to believe next time.
