Do Not Let People Make You Fearful

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Mark 5 today.
A ruler of the synagogue, whose daughter was close to death, had gone to Jesus to ask Him to heal her. However, on the way, some messengers came from the ruler’s house and revealed that the girl had died. Knowing how such news would trouble her father, Mark wrote that Jesus did this, “As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, ‘Do not be afraid; only believe'” (Mark 5:36).
Whether the messenger meant it or not, he filled the heart of the father with great trouble. After all, he had to tell the ruler that his daughter was dead. He would find out sooner or later. However, what the messenger also said was not to trouble the Teacher, believing that Jesus only had power to heal the sick, but living, girl, and not raise her from the dead.
Here is the thing. Do not let people put you in fear by making you think that God is not capable of doing all things. Believe in Him with all your heart and let Him take care of your life.
