Be Wise in Your Diet

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Leviticus 10-12 today.
Leviticus 11 is the list of clean and unclean animals for the ancient nation of Israel. While it is true that those restrictions were lifted, it is also true that we should so eat that we bring glory to God. The chapter begins by saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘These are the animals which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth…'” (Leviticus 11:2).
By eating what God allowed and by not eating what God forbid, the Israelites glorified God. That should be our goal, as it is written in First Corinthians 10:31, “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1Corinthians 10:31). We glorify God now not by observing the Laws of Moses in regard to clean and unclean food, but by giving thanks for our food and by being considerate of other people during our meals.
