Fire Came Out From the Lord

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Leviticus 7-9 today.
Picture this. The Bible says, “And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of meeting, and came out and blessed the people. Then the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people, and fire came out from before the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces” (Leviticus 9:23, 24).
The Christians I know are more familiar with what happened next to two of the sons of Aaron when they used fire that was unauthorized by the Lord and fire came out from the Lord and consumed them. It is too bad we generally do not know what happened just before that, which is what is quoted in the two verses above. The 9th chapter of Leviticus shows the beginning of the blessed priesthood of Aaron and his sons. What a magnificent event for Israel in the wilderness not too long after leaving slavery. This must have been something really special to
them. They saw God’s glory and saw fire come from Him and consume the sacrifice that they presented to the Lord. How would you liked to have seen that? Wow!
I just wonder what it is going to be like when we see God in heaven and see His glory. What shall we think, feel, and do when we see Him in the true temple in heaven?
