It's Not Nice to Try to Fool God

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Matthew 22 today.
On American television in the 1970s, there was a commercial for margarine in which the company claimed that its product was so close to butter that it could fool Mother Nature. When she realized that she had been had, she said, “It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature!” accompanied with a bolt of lightning and thunder.
It’s not nice to try to fool God, because it is impossible to do, and is sinful. The enemies of Jesus tried to do that to Him, but they failed. The Bible says, “When they had heard these words, they marveled, and left Him and went their way” (Matthew 22:22).
Men tried to catch Jesus in His words that they might find a way to condemn Him, but He is God and we cannot trick Him. The rest of Matthew 22 has other attempts to fool Jesus, but everyone failed. You have not tried to fool Him, have you?
