Two Men Have Walked on Water

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Matthew 14 today.
We often say things like, “Only the Son of God can walk on water,” but that is not true. When Peter and his fellow-disciples saw Jesus walking on water, not believing it was Him, but rather a ghost, the Lord reassured them that it was He. If it was the Lord, then Peter issued a challenge to Him that He commands Peter to walk on the water. Here is what happened next, “So He said, ‘Come.’ And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus” (Matthew 14:29).
Matthew wrote that Peter “walked on the water.” The Lord gave Peter the power to walk on the water, and as long as Peter had faith, he walked on the water, but when he doubted, he began to sink immediately.
What has the Lord given you power to do? Are you doing it?
