What Were Their Expectations?

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Exodus 4-6 today.
Moses, along with Aaron, gathered together all the elders of Israel to reveal to them that the Lord was ready to deliver Israel out of Egypt by the hand of Moses and Aaron. After performing miracles to show that the two men were of God and that He had spoken these things by them, watch the response, “So the people believed; and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel and that He had looked on their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped” (Exodus 4:31).
Their jubilation did not last for long. Soon, they were ready to stone Moses, and the people complained against God and Moses for forty years. They thought that God and Moses should have done things differently. Israel had the wrong expectations.
Someone can do something good for us, but we are disappointed because we had different expectations. Watch out for your expectations.
