Let Us Learn About Mercy

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Matthew 9 today.
Jesus ate with tax collectors and sinners. The Pharisees objected that Jesus as a teacher would do such things. He responded, saying, “…But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance'” (Matthew 9:13).
How about if we do what Jesus told them to do? Let us learn the meaning of Hosea 6:6, from which Jesus quoted. God required sacrifice, but sacrifice was not above showing mercy. Do not forsake the commandments of God, but show mercy that you may receive mercy. Shortly, someone will need your mercy. Remember the teaching of Jesus and demonstrate it.
