Think About This Before Judging Others

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Matthew 7 today.
Sometimes we have to make judgments about people. However, Jesus warned, “…with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you” (Matthew 7:2). Jesus meant what He said and said what He meant. If someone judges you harshly, look into your past and see if that is what you have done. It might be that you are simply being judged for the way you have judged others. When you judge others without compassion, be prepared to be judged without compassion.
Therefore, as you are about ready to judge someone, see whether you want to be judged in the same way. Keeping the words of Jesus in mind will help you from erring in judgment and in the manner of your judgment, and it will lead you to do the right thing.
