God Feeds Us

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Genesis 46-48 today.
Joseph brought his two sons to their grandfather Jacob to be blessed by him. Here is what Jacob said before the blessing, “God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has fed me all my life long to this day…” (Genesis 48:15), and then he went on to bless the sons of Joseph. It is interesting the way that Jacob referred to God as “the God who has fed me all my life long to this day.” Jacob knew that God took care of him through all the passages of his life. Whether it was the prosperous times or the times when
someone was trying to kill him, he knew God was taking care of him.
Oh we need that faith! You are alive today because God has fed you all your life long to this day; yet, we often worry, wondering how we are going to make it through a crisis. Somehow we manage to make it through. How is it that happens? Answer that question today by thinking on the words of Jacob. His God was the One who fed him all his life long. Do you have the same God?
