Met by Angels of God

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Genesis 32-34 today.
Moses wrote this little piece, “So Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him” (Genesis 32:1). The next verse simply says that Jacob named the place, “This is God’s Camp.” Other than that, the Bible says no more about it.
Why did the angels meet him?
What happened at the meeting, if anything?
Perhaps Jacob even wondered why they appeared to him.
God, in His wisdom, told us all that we need to know. Angels minister on behalf of those who are to inherit salvation, but we do not always know what they do. In fact, we probably do not know most of what they do. Do I need to know everything that they do on my behalf? I know that God is with me also. Do I need to know all the details? It is good enough for me to know that God is with me, and that knowledge alone gives me great courage daily. So it is with the
knowledge that the angels are with me, although we do not get to see them as Jacob did.
Live courageously, knowing that heaven is on your side.
