Do Not Get Hung Up on Birth Order

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Genesis 28 and 29 today.
Judah became the prominent son of Jacob. Genesis 29:35 says, “And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, ‘Now I will praise the LORD.’ Therefore she called his name Judah. Then she stopped bearing” (Genesis 29:35). Did you notice that in reference to Leah, Moses wrote that, “she conceived again”? Judah was not the firstborn child. Reuben was first, then Simeon and Levi, making Judah the fourth!
There is a lot of talk today about birth order and how that makes people turn out a certain way. Be real careful with that. Whenever you find someone whom you think fits the theory, we can just as easily find someone who does not.
Are you a parent with children still at home? Love them all and help each one to be successful according to the kind of person that he or she is.
Are you a child out on your own now? Follow biblical examples and you shall be prosperous in whatever you do, regardless of your birth order.
