Anxious Thoughts Lead to Regretful Words

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Job 20 today.
Zophar could not stand listening to Job speak. Therefore, Zophar said, “Therefore my anxious thoughts make me answer, because of the turmoil within me” (Job 20:2). Later we discover that Zophar got himself into trouble with the Almighty. If Zophar had kept his cool regardless of what Job said, then Zophar would have been accepted in the sight of God.
How many times has that happened to you? You heard someone speaking and you disagreed vehemently with what he or she was saying and you could not stand it anymore. You opened your mouth and to your surprise bitter words came spewing out.
To prevent this from happening, it is good to pray for self-control and self-discipline constantly. When was the last time you prayed for those things?
