From Dust to a Living Being

Read the Bible in a year chronologically by reading Genesis 2; Matthew 19:4-6
As you continue to go through the rest of this day, think upon the awesome profundity of God’s creation of man, as revealed in Genesis. Moses wrote, “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being” (Genesis 2:7).
First, observe that God took dust to create man. Man is of the earth. Even as Jesus created wine from water instantly, bypassing the natural process, so God created man instantly, bypassing the natural process. We live from the dust of the earth today, because our food all starts there, and so what is in the ground can also be found in our bodies.
Second, God breathed into man’s nostrils the breath of life. Did God literally perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation? Wow! Picture that in your mind for the rest of the day!
Third, suddenly what was dust began to breathe and became a living being!
Meditate on your creation today and let your spirit soar.
