Lord, thank you for the Christmas holiday, as a time of joy and feasting with friends and family. We ask especially that you provide peace to those stranded in their travels to be with family, cheer those in harm’s way on behalf of freedom, strengthen those who must work during the holiday of rest, supply the needy through we who rejoice in bounty, comfort the bereaved who miss loved ones especially during this season.
Father, we thank you for giving us all good things to enjoy. These remind us of the exquisite and eternal pleasures of your presence which we await at Jesus’ coming. Amen.
