Keep God?s Dwelling Place Free From Sin

Read the Bible in a year by reading Ezekiel 42-44 today.
God showed Ezekiel wonderful things in chapters 40-48. The prophet saw a temple, among other things. God said to Ezekiel, concerning the temple,
“Son of man, this is the place of My throne and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel forever. No more shall the house of Israel defile My holy name, they nor their kings, by their harlotry or with the carcasses of their kings on their high places” (Ezekiel 43:7).
If you walked into a structure and knew that God was dwelling there, would you sin? I know that you would not. That is at least part of the message in this passage. Ezekiel saw God’s temple. God told the prophet that was the place of His throne and the place where He would walk. In other words, it was the place where He would dwell. Therefore, since He was there, Israel would no longer sin there. God could certainly prevent Israel from sinning, but His desire is that the nation not want to sin.
Dear friends, First Corinthians 3 shows that the church is the temple of God. His throne is there. He lives in the church. Should we then sin there?
