The Family Promise of God

Read the Bible in a year by reading Ezekiel 37-39 today.
As you read the Bible, notice what I call The Family Promise of God. Here it is in Ezekiel 37:27,
“My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people” (Ezekiel 37:27).
Here are the three elements to The Family Promise of God that are throughout Scripture:
1. God wants to be our God.
2. God wants us for His people.
3. God wants to dwell among us.
It is not always in that order, as it is not in the passage above, and all three elements do not always appear in a passage, but many times, they do. So much of the Bible is about this very thing that we can call it a major theme of the Bible. Try to look for it in the rest of Scripture. Most of all, remember that Yahweh wants to be your God, He wants you as part of His people, and He wants to dwell with you. Embrace those truths and never give them up.
