Keep in Mind the Kind of People Who Live Around You

Read the Bible in a year by reading Ezekiel 1 and 2 today.
Why are people rude? Why are people impatient? Why are people vengeful? Why do people speak harsh words? They are mean because they are briers, thorns, and scorpions. God told Ezekiel,
“And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house” (Ezekiel 2:6).
What do you expect from briers if you get close to them? What will happen if you bump into thorns? What happens if you encounter a scorpion? Briers, thorns, and scorpions sting you. What do you do then? You do not get close to them and irritate them, lest they irritate you.
Remember what people are and you shall do better around them. Be kind and perhaps you will draw a kind response out of some of them. Try it and see if it happens.
