Jesus Humbled Himself Below Angels

Read the Bible in a year by reading Hebrews 2 today
The writer of the Book of Hebrews had just made the point that Jesus is greater than the angels, even employing them as His servants. Then the writer made this statement,
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering
of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste
death for everyone (Hebrews 2:9).
The Served humbled Himself below the servers! Amazing! Why did He do such a thing? In His form in heaven, He was not subject to death. Therefore, He had to humble Himself, even going below the angels, because they are not subject to death either. He became a man and suffered the agonies of death. Why did He do such a thing? He tasted of death for us that He might deliver us from death, showing that death is not the end, but we shall be resurrected as He was and then we shall live eternally with the Father in heaven.
If Jesus could so humble Himself, can we humble ourselves? How can you be humble today?
