God Is in Charge

Read the Bible in a year by reading Jeremiah 27-29 today.
Can you think of a time when there was no trouble in your nation? Has there been a time when the media were not trying to trouble us with some news? There is always a huge crisis on the minds of the people in any nation at any time. Even if there is not something, people invent something. Not only does the media thrive on crises, but so do most people.
Therefore, we worry about this and we worry about that, yet, somehow we make it through life. Whatever you hear and whatever goes on nationally or locally and whatever is going on that people say is a threat to your life or livelihood, remember the words of the Lord through the prophet Jeremiah. God told the prophet to speak to various kings concerning the dominion of King Nebuchadnezzar, these words,
“I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are on the ground, by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and have given it to whom it seemed proper to Me” (Jeremiah 27:5).
If you live by sight, it will look as though things are in chaos, but if you live by faith, you will know that God is in charge, and your soul shall have peace. Whatever you hear and see today, remember who is running the show.
