Paul's Attitude Toward Brethren Who Did Not Show Up

Read the Bible in a year by reading Second Timothy 4 today.
Where is everyone? Have you asked that question when the church had gathered for an activity, and few showed up? Paul had a similar experience, but look at his attitude,
At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them (2Timothy 4:16).
No bitterness poured out of Paul’s lips. He did not decide that he was never going to be involved again. No, he only hoped that their failure and neglect would not be charged against them. He loved those people and so, bitterness could not find a root in his soul.
