What God Wants for Us

Read the Bible in a year by reading Jeremiah 12-14 today.
What God wanted for Israel and for Judah, He wants with you and the church. He said,
“For as the sash clings to the waist of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to Me,” says the LORD, “that they may become My people, for renown, for praise, and for glory; but they would not hear” (Jeremiah 13:11).
He wanted them to cling to Him that He might give them renown, praise, and glory. Read the New Testament, even casually, and you will understand God wants the same thing for you. The sad thing with Judah is that they would not hear. What shall it be with us?
QUESTION from today?s reading assignment: If Jeremiah was wearied by running with the footmen, God asked how he expected to contend with what?
