Lord who never fails, some people “know” only that they can know nothing. Others think they know one moral absolute: impose no restrictions on others. The skeptic reigns, the doubter, cheered. The world is awash in a tsunami of doubt.
But I know. Your people know. Much is not revealed, but you have shown yourself, your will, your pleasure, your desire, your plan, your salvation. And we can know it for certain. What a sensation of firmness, stability, and certitude!
You want to present us with this gift. You do not waver nor waffle. You are certainty. Another strand of grace for all. Produce in us compassion for the doubter, that through us he may know for sure. For eternity.
Through him who is Yes. Amen.
