Loving God, you take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but delight in forgiving and showing love to those few who abandon sin. While the world thinks of pleasure in terms of personal satisfaction, your concept of pleasure is to restore the fallen to their place at your side.
My desire, Lord, is to be a recipient of your pleasureful pardon and participant in extending it to others, also.
So I pray: forgive me my trespasses and make me bold to preach repentance for remission of sins.
In him who gained your pleasure, Amen.
